Costumer's Potluck
Costumer's Potluck class schedule Hats and headdresses everywhere so put one on your head! An open discussion on hats and head coverings in the society and how to use headcoverings to enhance your period dress. We will also look at pictorial examples of headgear. Many examples of headgear from different time periods will be on hand to try. Oh that Pesky Center Gore...
Having trouble
inserting a gore into a flat of fabric? Is there always a hole
at the top? Does the top pucker? Does your gore like to tear out
after a few wearings?
Take this hands on class and learn a nearly fool-proof method
of inserting the gore so that you will not have most of those problems.
If you have a needle and thread please bring it. If you have an on going
project that requires gores or a failed project, bring it as well. Some
practice fabric with gores to insert as well as needle and thread
will be provided for the
first 10 people. NOON Classroom A *Baroness Orianna Fridrikskona The Greenland Gown: the 8 or 10 gore dress from Greenland, history and construction.
